2013年10月,我来到了中国攻读医学学士学位。在来中国之前,我了解到,我需要用漫长的6年来学习我的专业,我真不知道将如何在中国度过这些年。但现在我在这里已经学习和生活三年了,我可以说,中国在不断地给我带来惊喜,我对中国充满了热情!

相互切磋——在校园里快乐地学习

　　我求学的城市叫扬州,扬州又被称为“园林城市”。自从我来到中国,扬州便成了我家。虽然它没有上海或北京等其他城市那么大,但我对它美丽的园林非常着迷,我喜欢这座城市的灯光、年迈而快乐的“阿姨叔叔”,还有它悠久历史和灿烂的文化。

　　我了解到,隋炀帝时期,它被称为江都。自唐代以来很长的历史时期,这座城市一直是中国经济文化的中心,对外贸易和交流的主要港口。

　　当今的扬州,玩具业也很有名。许多来自周边城市的游客来到这座城市,就为了购买其质量上好的玩具。扬州还以沐浴文化、漆器、玉器、刺绣、剪纸、工艺品等著称。值得一提的是,扬州也是著名的古老的民间艺术——扬州评话的胜地,这就像相声一样,是中国传统喜剧的一种表演形式。这种表演形式在明代逐渐兴起,在表演中,艺术家用扬州方言向观众讲述了一个个有趣的历史故事。虽然我听不懂扬州方言,可是我看过艺术家的表演,那惟妙惟肖的表演深深地吸引着我。

翩翩起舞——向广场舞大妈学跳广场舞

　　我在中国生活中最了不起的经历是跳广场舞,广场舞是一种在广场或公园伴着音乐展开日常锻炼的活动。这在中老年妇女中很流行,这些人被称为“广场舞大妈”……在一年中的任何时候,在清晨或傍晚,她们聚集在一起,在公园或公共广场载歌载舞。通常他们早上5点半就开始了,或是在傍晚吃过晚饭后开始跳舞。我们留学生有一个活动叫“感知中国”,我们参加了其中的舞蹈表演。我们向广场舞大妈学跳广场舞。许多大妈清晨就在公园里翩翩起舞,我们的舞蹈队和他们跳舞很有意思,让我惊讶的是,大妈们舞跳得更优雅一点,更充满活力。这些是我们应该向她们学习的地方!

　　“君以民为天,民以食为天。”

　　扬州人如此迷恋他们的城市的原因还有扬州菜。扬州举世闻名的一道美食是扬州炒饭。扬州炒饭色、香、味、形俱佳。不仅仅是扬州的厨师,就连普通人都对做饭很用心!一些中国的最有创意的、引人注目的菜肴来自扬州大学旅游烹饪学院,这些菜也被称为淮扬菜。和川菜、粤菜、山东菜相比,淮扬菜别具一格,令扬州人十分自豪。

　　我还知道扬州是一个著名的旅游城市。扬州有许多安静的旅游胜地。瘦西湖狭长的水流蜿蜒流经扬州西界,是一个著名的旅游风景区。大明寺里有一座叫栖灵塔的九层宝塔。个园有茂密竹林、池塘和岩窟,这个园林得名于类似汉字“个”的竹叶。

　　这个城市大部分节日庆典都让我很兴奋,春节期间家人和朋友们还会聚在一起观赏烟花。我喜欢吃粽子和月饼。元宵节期间,夜晚整个天空飘满了五颜六色的孔明灯,有些人还在湖上放花灯。

　　此外,这座城市比我想象的还要好,它的宁静安逸是我无法用语言描述的……我希望我能成为中国和印度友谊的使者,共创和谐美好的未来!

Yangzhou: A Song of Traditional Culture

In October 2013, I came to China to study a bachelor's degree in medicine. Before I came to China, I learned that I needed to study my major for 6 years and I really didn't know how I would spend the years in China. But now I have been studying and living here for three years, I can say that China is constantly bringing me surprises, I am full of enthusiasm for China!

I studied in Yangzhou. It is also known as "Garden City." Since I came to China, Yangzhou has become my home. Although it is not as big as Shanghai or other cities such as Beijing, I am very fascinated by its beautiful garden; I like the city's lights, old and happy "Aunt Uncle", as well as its long history and splendid culture. I understand that during the period of Emperor Yang, Yangzhou was called “Jiangdou”. Since the Tang Dynasty, Yangzhou is one of the most prosperous cities and main transaction and port in China. Nowadays, Yangzhou is famous for its toy industry. Many touristscome to buy the best quality toys. Yangzhou also has a bath culture, lacquer ware, jade, embroidery, paper-cutting, and otherhandicrafts. Yangzhou Pinghua Resort, is an ancient language arts, like crosstalk,is a traditional Chinese comedy performance form.

The artists use Yangzhou dialect to tell the audience interesting historical story. Although I don’t understand Yangzhou dialect, the vivid performance attracted me deeply.

My greatest experience in China is square dance. This is very popular among middle-aged and elderly women, who are known as "square Dancing Dama" ... In the early morning and evening, these groups gather together, at any time of the year, in the park or public square began to dance. Usually they start at 5:30 A.M, or start dancing after dinner in the evening. We took part in an activity called China exploration"for preparing the performance. We learned square dance from “Dama”,they are full of energy and that impressed me a lot.

Food is the first necessity of people.

Huaiyang cuisine is another reason why people love Yangzhou. Yangzhou Fried rice is a world-famous dish. It is famous for its color, aroma, taste and layout. Not only is the chef, even ordinary people in Yangzhou have the talent in cooking!

I also know that Yangzhou is a famous tourist city. There are many places of interests in Yangzhou,such as the Slender West Lake,Daming Temple and Ge garden.

Most of the festival celebrations in this city make me very excited, during the Spring Festival family and friends also gathered together to watch fireworks. I like eating zongzi and mooncakes. During the Lantern Festival, at night the whole sky is full of colorful Kungming lanterns, and some people still put lotus lanterns on the lake.The city is far better than I thought, any language is pale to describe its peace and quiet. I hope in the future, I can be the ambassador Chinese culture and friendship between China and India.
